NEW SELFDEFENSE technique this week VS REAR HEADLOCK
Global martial arts Vista is located north of San Diego closed to Carlsbad, Oceanside and San Marcos. The Krav Maga classes this week will focus on defending against a rear headlock. Its a very easy choke and highly efficient. The criminal sneak from behind and start to choke you without any warning. Its important that the Krav Maga students defend as early as possible, by plugging with 2 hands. The defending hands have to be deep in order to have enough leverage to deal with choke. Then, the Krav Maga practitioner must turn and face the opponent. Last part of the selfdefense technique is to used strikes to create space and plan the escape. Generally at global martial arts Vista, we teach that technique early in the curriculum. As the Krav Maga students train more and more, they will know some extra technique in case the first one doesn’t work. The first technique you taught is generally the best one because its simple and easy to remember.
